NDIS art PROGRAMS
AMS Art Studio provides creative support services for participants accessing the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
Our aim is to support the independence and participation of people with disability while empowering participants to exercise choice and control in achieving their goals and managing their supports.
We also aim to provide a creative environment that enhances participants’ sense of self-worth and wellbeing through artistic expression.

To engage participants through tailored creative programs that meet them where they are creatively, artistically, physically and emotionally, while encouraging appropriately paced skill development, participation and artistic expression.

ACCESSING NDIS SUPPORT WITH AMS ART STUDIO
AMS Art Studio works with participants and their representatives to understand their individual goals, preferences and support needs.
We aim to provide a supportive and inclusive environment where participants can engage in creative activities while receiving appropriate assistance with mobility, safety, communication and participation where required.
Participants are encouraged to be actively involved in decisions about their services and supports.
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT
Participants can expect:
- To be treated with dignity and respect.
- A supportive and inclusive environment for artistic expression.
- Confidential handling of personal information.
- Involvement in decisions about their supports.
- Reasonable adjustments to support mobility, safety and participation.
- Clear information about service costs.
- Adequate notice of changes to scheduled services.
- Opportunities to provide feedback or make a complaint.
- Regular reviews of supports to ensure they continue to meet individual needs and goals.
- Information presented in a way that supports the participant’s communication needs.
OUR SUPPORT STAFF
AMS Art Studio support staff help participants engage safely, confidently and meaningfully in our creative programs.
Support is tailored to each participant’s individual needs and may include assistance with:
- Understanding and following instructions
- Communication and participation
- Emotional regulation
- Mobility or dexterity
- Safe use of studio materials and equipment
- Developing independence and creative skills
Our team works with participants and their representatives to understand their needs, preferences and goals, and to provide appropriate support within the studio environment.
EXTERNAL SUPPORT STAFF
AMS Art Studio welcomes participants who attend with their own external support workers.
Where AMS Art Studio provides additional support, the type and level of support will be based on the participant’s individual needs and agreed supports.
We work with participants, representatives and support workers to help ensure participants can safely and meaningfully take part in our creative programs.
NDIS PRICING
AMS Art Studio provides supports in accordance with each participant’s Service Agreement and Schedule of Supports.
Pricing and any applicable charges are discussed with the participant or their representative before services commence.
NDIS pricing may change when the NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits are updated.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
Depending on the participant’s agreed supports, AMS Art Studio programs may include creative activities, use of studio facilities and equipment, support from AMS staff, and materials required for the agreed program.
Any additional expenses not included in funded supports, such as meals, venue entry fees or external event costs, are the responsibility of the participant or their representative.
NDIS SUPPORT AND CHARGES
The supports and charges applicable to each participant are outlined in their individual Service Agreement and Schedule of Supports.
Non-Face-to-Face Supports04_102_0136_6_1
Non-Face-to-Face Supports may include preparation and setup, pack-down and cleaning, kiln use, storage of participant materials, case notes, progress documentation and support planning.
Current rate: $73.58 per hour.
Centre Capital Costs04_599_0136_6_1
Centre Capital Costs apply where eligible supports are delivered at the AMS Art Studio facility.
Current rate: $2.71 per hour, per participant.
Establishment Fee01_049_0104_1_1
An Establishment Fee may apply where a participant receives at least 20 hours of support per month for three or more consecutive months. It can only be charged once per year.
Current fee: $675.60.

No matter what your disability is, learn new techniques and skills that will have you amazed at your creative achievements.
Our Creative Support Classes are small classes working at a pace to match the participant’s capabilities.

Inclusive Classes
Our classes are all inclusive and everyone is welcome to attend the class that best suits them. If you require support we can offer qualified support workers who have the relevant art training to support you in the medium of your choice.
Group Outings
Small groups organised to attend community events, exhibitions, concerts and more provide a great opportunity to socialise outside our studio classes.

We offer one off or ongoing support to meet appointments, including social and community events, shopping, as well as domestic support at home.
