AMS Art Studio students dominated the Hunter Region Abstract Abilities exhibition once again!!!
Abstract Abilities is an art competition ran by LAC Uniting, which opens to artists alongside International Day of Disabilities.
All artists identifying as living alongside a disability are invited to enter artworks in 2D and 3D forms including all art making media.
This year our AMS teachers supported students from the kids and adults’ classes entering 11 drawings and paintings including chalk pastel works, watercolours, and large textured acrylic paintings, plus one very special ceramic sculpture.
Last week our artists were invited to exhibit their work at the Creator Incubator and attend an opening event celebrating their work.
It was so great to see AMS staff and so many students in attendance, and even more exciting to see some of our students awarded with Finalists certificates and a First Prize placement in the adult category given to Paul Hunter for the second year in a row.
